2020 really is in hindsight!
What can be said about the passing year that hasn’t already been said? For most, it’s good riddance. But for some it was the opportunity to buy that second home or to relocate to our beautiful mountains! With interest rates still at historic lows, now may be the time for you to act!
The housing market is still hot in western North Carolina! Winter does not seem to be cooling the market on land either! Land, in lots or acreage, is plentiful and at great prices also! Maybe the future holds a new home built on land bought this year. This time of year offers exceptional opportunities for the buyer to see the lay of the land and views possible from your home or from your land. AND there are still lots of things to do while in our area in the winter months!
Our local restaurants are open and serving while observing precautions of course. Check out Chevelles, Shoebooties, Legends, Perrones, and Parsons Pub to name just a few. Many wineries are still open and serving too.
Snow tubing is abundant in this state. I’ve linked to a site that tells you where the top 7 are located. The closest one to Murphy is Scaly Mountain. Best snow tubing parks! Many parks make snow so the weather isn’t really a factor.
One of my favorite things to experience is our waterfalls in the winter. The frozen spray and the hanging icicles that form are stunning! Many of these beautiful falls are only a short drive away. Dry Falls, Cullasaja Falls, Helton Falls, and Trahlyta Falls at Vogel State Park, are easy and accessible to most everyone.
