| Deena and I made the difficult decision to pull up our roots, leaving family and friends behind in Crystal River Florida to seek a simpler life style here in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Deena was born and raised in Crystal River and I attended high school and college in Atlanta Georgia. We moved to Murphy, NC five years ago from Crystal River, Florida where I enjoyed 23 years as a successful businessman in the maritime industry and Deena had her own successful career in the medical industry. She began her career as a nurse but spent the last ten years in organization development and risk management with the nation's largest provider of comprehensive home health and related services. To most we had the perfect American life style but we yearned for simpler way of life with changing seasons, and mountains and woods to explore. |

We found what we were looking for in historic Murphy, North Carolina. The day we made the actual move was the day we knew we had made the best decision of our life. Murphy, North Carolina quickly began home with its warm and friendly atmosphere. We have made so many new and wonderful friends here. We have "chosen" our second family here in the mountains of Western North Carolina. |
| We moved into our new chalet style home in the summer of 2006. When we are not sharing our mountain dreams with clients at the office we are out living that dream boating on the crystal clear water of Lake Hiawassee or exploring waterfalls on the pristine wilderness lake Appalachia. We enjoy hiking through the lush Appalachian Mountains, quiet picnics by a small creek or capturing the sights of the many spectacular mountain vistas as we hike the secluded mountain trails. Deena, an avid photographer, enjoys fly fishing with her camera while I test my skills on the rushing Nantahala River. |

| Photography has for many years been one of Deena’s interests, and with all the beautiful subject material available here in the mountains it has become her passion. Our landscape is an artists palette and a photographer's studio. Deena's subject matter is the colorful foliage in the fall, the new birth of flowers in the spring, the abundant wildlife and the breathtaking water falls and rivers. This area is a photographers dream come true. With many old farm houses, barns and silos through this area Deena is often out with boots, tripod and lens capturing the wonderful images of our world here in the mountains. |

I have enjoyed hunting and fishing all my life but never more than here in the mountains of Southwestern North Carolina. To greet the sun rise over any of our pristine lakes or rivers or rolling mountain land and watch the fog slowly lift is a sight that few can imagine. Thousands of acres of National Forest Service Land available to hunt deer, turkey and black bear make this is a hunter’s heaven. Our waters are abundant with rainbow, brook and brown trout as well as walleye, lake trout, large and small mouth bass. |
| The end of each new day here often finds us on our deck watching the mountain sunset, the sky ablaze with color, mountain ranges that change colors with the seasons and wildlife everywhere to enjoy as they move about in their natural habitat. Our dream came true and we are thankful for the blessing God has given us. If our dream is your dream then living in a small friendly mountain town like ours is a place to call home. Give us a call so we can share our dream with you! |
